LG G7 is the successor of the flagship released by LG in February of last year, however the release of the new smartphone might be delayed.
In the last few weeks we’ve heard a lot of speculation regarding the future flagship from LG, precisely the LG G7. Many voices seem to indicate that LG might distance itself from the G name and might come with a new name. The decision has been made because of the weak sales recorded since the launch of the LG G4, but especially after the release of the LG G5 model.
Regardless if we’re talking about the LG G7 or a smartphone with another name, what is certain is that the phone will make its appearance in the near future. However the presentation will not take place in February, as it happened last year with the release of the LG G6. The release cycle might be prolonged by approximately one month if we were to believe the people over at ET News. According to them, the LG G7 phone will make its appearance in March of this year.
ET News quotes a source who is an official at one of the three important South Korea communications companies. Another industry source says that the LG G7 might arrive in April of 2018.
Sources indicate the fact that we should not expect the new LG smartphone to be presented at the MWC 2018 event. The new LG G7 will be the first LG flagship to be released under the management of Hwang Jeong-Hwan, who has become the CEO of LG Mobile Communications last month.
It remains to be seen if the new CEO comes up with an approach that might pay off.
