Actor Hugh Jackman, 48 years old, made some statements after he underwent another surgery to remove some cells that cause skin cancer.
Hugh Jackman salutes a healthy lifestyle after he underwent the sixth surgery to remove cells that cause skin cancer. The actor is now currently in Brazil to promote his most recent movie, “Logan”.
“Thank you Sao Paulo, thank you Brazil” the actor says in a video he posted on Instagram. Hugh Jackman also wanted to share his experience with his fans on Instagram. “Thanks to frequent checkups and doctors, everything is fine” Jackman says on Instagram.
Hugh Jackman underwent the first surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma in 2013 after his wife urged him to see a doctor.
Hugh Jackman goes for a checkup every three months now and he already launched a line of sun protection cream for children. Basal cell carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer which affects more than 90% of patients diagnosed with skin cancer in the United States of America. This type of cancer rarely spreads in the body but, if it’s not removed, it may affect the surrounding tissue.
Last time playing Wolverine
Hugh Jackman stars as Wolverine for the 8th and last time in this new movie. The “Logan” movie is a sequel of two previous movies: X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine. This will be the 10th movie of the “X-Men” franchise.
The movie depicts Wolverine in 2024, growing old and losing his powers. We also see Wolverine being the mentor of a mutant girl.
The story of the “Logan” movie takes place in the year 2024, when mutant births are declining for an unknown reason. A Government organization called “Transigen” transforms young mutants into killing machines.
In the new “Logan” movie we see Wolverine not as his best and he is heavily drinking, getting older and losing his powers. He also heals slower and – at times – he doesn’t heal at all. According to some sources, Professor X, played by Patrick Steward, is also not doing very well. He also got a lot older, his powers are unstable and, every now and then, he doesn’t remember Logan. Logan is also helped by mutant Caliban, played by Stephen Merchant.
The cast of the movie includes Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Bolbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
“Logan” will be premiered next week, on March 3, 2017 and until that happens you can watch the Logan trailer below:
