queen elizabeth united kingdom

As the monarch of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II owns many high value properties such as castles, ruins, public toilets and even some highways.

Being one of the richest people in the world, and also a monarch, Queen Elizabeth II owns many properties which are worth a lot of money. She doesn’t only own castles such as the Buckingham, Windsor and Sandrinham. The Queen also owns part of the M6 highway in Lancashire, a rugby club in Norfolk, public toilets in downtown London and a park in South Tyneside.

But it is also very important to remember that Queen Elizabeth II also owns properties as a private person. Personally, she owns Sandrigham and Balmoral estates. The rest of the castles and parks are owned by the Crown. They are owned by a Monarch as long as he or she are alive and the Monarch cannot sell or gain a profit from them. All money earned from tourism end up in the bank accounts of the United Kingdom Treasury.

The royal palaces used by the members of the Royal Family are owned by the Royal Household Property Section, the unused palaces are being managed by the Historic Royal Palaces and the Royal Parks are being managed by a charity organization controlled by the Government.

So, this being said, these are all the properties owned by Queen Elizabeth II:
