state of play sony playstation

When Sony announced that the company won’t take part of the E3 event this year, the company promised to find other means to communicate with PlayStation fans besides the usual press conferences at the E3 event in Los Angeles.

Well, all said and done: today marks the debut of a new show broadcasted live by Sony – State of Play, through which the company is going to make announcement regarding the future of the PlayStation gaming consoles from here on out.

The first State of Play episode can be watched live, below, and promises to reveal new  PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR games as well as updates regarding the upcoming games we know of. It remains to be seen if Sony will use a pre-recorded show just like the one used by Nintendo or will be a live show such as the Inside Xbox show from Microsoft.
