Sean Penn, 57 years old, with a career spanning four decades, says he no longer enjoys being in front of the camera.
Sean Penn made this confession in an interview that will be aired Sunday morning on CBS.
“I think it’s true, for a long time now” Sean Penn said. ” It can be great working with good writers and directors but I am no longer in love with acting” Penn also added.
Sean Penn found meaning in other projects, from political activism to charity events in Haiti and even writing a book called “Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff”. The book was published by Simon & Schuster publishing.
“I know, some will buy the book, others will not. Some will like it, others will not. And this is really what I want people to say about me” Sean Penn added.
Sean Penn is a Hollywood veteran with a very long career, spanning four decades. He won the Oscar Award for Mystic River in 2004. Sean Penn also made his directorial debut in 2007 with the “Into The Wild” drama, which received critical acclaim. Sean Penn won the second Oscar award of his career in 2009 for playing Harvey Milk.
Other memorable Sean Penn roles include his work on The Three of Life and Fair Game. Some of the most recent movies Sean Penn starred in are Gangster Squad and The Gunman.
In the last few years Sean Penn was involved in many humanitarian and social actions, supporting the reconstruction of New Orleans, the city that was devastated by hurricane Katrina in 2005 and Haiti refugees camps after the earthquake that took pace in January of 2010. Sean Penn is also famous for liking some controversial political leaders such as Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez or Evo Morales.
