Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson, tried to kill herself on Saturday. Paris was taken to the hospital. The reason why she tried to take her own life is – allegedly – the accusations made against her father in the “Leaving Neverland” documentary created by HBO.
The daughter of Michael Jackson has taken extreme steps after watching the “Leaving Neverland” documentary, a production focused on the alleged sexual abuse of her father on minors. According to TMZ, Paris Jackson was taken to the hospital by emergency services.
Sources close to the Jackson family said that Paris is in stable medical condition.
The “Leaving Neverland” documentary, which premiered on January 25, 2019 at the Sundance Film Festival, directed by Dan Reed, tells the story of Wade Robson and James Safechuck form the moment they met Michael Jackson up until the trauma they allegedly suffered growing up are starting to affect their adult lives.
HBO, which the Jackson family sued asking for $100 million in damages, released a statement explaining that the decision of releasing the documentary was made in order to provide everybody with the possibility of evaluating the movie and accusations against Michael Jackson by themselves.
Besides testimonies by Wade Robson and James Safechuck, the documentary also includes Jackson family members but also the voice of Michael Jackson himself from recordings sent to Robson.
Wade Robson and James Safechuck said they haven’t received any money from HBO to appear in the Leaving Neverland documentary and they won’t get any financial benefits in the future.
One of the two men was even a witness for the defense in the 2005 lawsuit against Michael Jackson and even signed a document denying any aggression. After the 2005 lawsuit, Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges. Later, the man changed his statement and he even tried to file for a new lawsuit in 2013.
The late Michael Jackson was accused of pedophilia many times. In 1993, Jackson was accused of sexually abusing a 13 years old boy named Jordan Chandler. Michael Jackson denied all charges and everything ended through an out of court settlement of $23 million.
In 2005, a jury decided Michael Jackson is not guilty of sexually abusing Gavin Arvizo, who was 13 years old when the alleged crime happened.
In 2013 and 2014, after the death of Michael Jackson ( Jackson died in 2009 ) two more lawsuits were filed by Wade Robson and James Safechuck, claiming that Michael Jackson sexually abused them at the beginning of the 90’s, when they were kids. Both cases were thrown out of court because of statute of limitation has passed.
Michael Jackson died at the age of 50, in June 25, 2009, because of an overdose, with the complicity of doctor Conrad Murray. The official cause of death of Michael Jackson is Cardiac arrest induced by acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication. At the time of his death Michael Jackson was in Los Angeles, rehearsing for his last tour – This is It Tour – which was supposed to debut in London in July of 2009.
Michael Jackson’s personal physician, doctor Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison. Conrad Murray was released in October of 2013 after spending almost two years behind bars.
