Netflix has released the final trailer for The Witcher TV series which will make its debut on Netflix on December 20, 2019.

Netflix has purchased the rights for the TV series based on The Witcher novels written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski in 2017 and filming took place in the Ukraine.

Henry Cavil ( Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League ) stars in the leading role as Geralt of Rivia, alongside Freya Allan as Ciri, Anlya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May ( Game of Thrones, Genius ) as Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy ( Knightfall ) as Mousesack ), Myanna Buring ( Ripper Street ) as Tissaia, Therica Wilson-Reader ( Profile ) as Sabrina, Millie Brady ( The Last Kingdom ) as Renfri, and others.

The executive producer of The Witcher TV series is Lauren Schmidt Hissrick ( Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s The Defenders, Umbrella Academy ) while the directors are Alik Sakharov ( House of Cards, Game of Thrones ), Alex Garcia Lope ( Marvel’s Luke Cage, Utopia ) and Charlotte Brandstrom ( Outlander, Counterpart, Disparue ).

The first season of The Witcher includes 8 episodes and will debut on Netflix starting with December 20, 2019 and Netflix has already confirmed the second season.
