When the new Mortal Kombat 11 has been presented we knew that NetherRealm Studios will only develop the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment decided to enlist the help of external studios to develop the PC and Nintendo Switch versions. We already know that QLOC is developing the PC version of the Mortal Kombat 11 game.
However things have been a bit unclear regarding the Nintendo Switch versions of the Mortal Kombat 11 game. Most gamers know that the Nintendo Switch console does not benefit from a hardware platform as good as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and making PS4 and Xbox One games run on the Nintendo Switch console is a bit more problematic. NetherRealm Studios confirmed that Shiver Entertainment is in charge of developing Mortal Kombat 11 for Nintendo Switch and this version of the game would run at 60 frames per second, just like the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
After some valid questions marks were raised, the mystery surrounding the Nintendo Switch version of the Mortal Kombat 11 have has started to disappear and it appears that the Switch version of the MK 11 game will not be released in April as it will only arrive on May 17, 2019.
So, the Mortal Kombat 11 video game will be released on April 23rd, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC while the Nintendo Switch version of the game will arrive on May 17, 2019.
