David Ogden Stiers, the actor who played Major Charles Emerson Winchester III in M.A.S.H, passed away on Saturday at the age of 75.
“My dear friend and client for 30 years is gone” Mitchel Stubbs said,reprezentative of Mitchell K. Stubbs & Associates, on Saturday. “David had wisdom and talent in so many fields. I wish people knew what a wonderful heart he had” Stubbs added.
David Ogden Stiers died at his home in Newport, Oregon, following a long battle with bladder cancer.
David Ogden Stiers received two Emmy nominations for his role in MASH, in 1981 and 1982. In 1984 he won the Emmy award for his role as founder of the United States Olympic Committee, William MIlligan Sloane.
David Ogden Stiers was also a prolific voice actor, borrowing his voice to 8 Disney characters.
