android q os

Android Q has not been officially presented by Google yet but there are many beta versions available for apps developers. Although Google is not talking about the Android Q OS yet, we already have a pretty good idea about the smartphones that will get the update. We’re talking about top smartphones from big manufacturers.

Google Pixel is the first phone that comes to mind because the Pixel is the first to get Android updates as soon as they are available. Unlike the previous years, just two older Pixel generations will get the new Android Q OS. Google Pixel 1 might have entered the extended support period being only updated with security patches, so only the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 3 smartphones will get the new Android Q.

The next phones on the list that will get the Android Q are the Android One phones, and this includes many models from different manufacturers. They won’t be the first, but they will most likely get the Android Q OS faster than smartphones based on proprietary interfaces. This includes smartphones from General Mobile, BQ, Sharp, Infinix, Xiaomi, LG, Motorola, and Nokia.

Lastly, we have phones from big manufacturers. Samsung and Huawei will most likely launch Android Q updates for the smartphones they released on the market in the last gwo years, but they will be available a bit later because the One UI and EMUI interfaces need to be adapted to the new Android Q OS. Motorola is also a manufacturer that usually keeps up with the updates even for the phones that do not benefit from Android One, as the Moto Z and Moto G series are usually up to date with Android.

We also have smaller manufacturers that update their top devices relatively fast. OnePLus is one of them along with Essential, Sony,  Blackberry, LG, ASUS, ZTE and HTC. We’re referring to their top devices not mid range and entry level models.
