Actress Julianne Moore will star and will be the executive producer of an Apple TV series based on the “Lisey’s Story” novel written by Stephen King.
The 8 episodes TV series based on the 2006 novel will be created based on a script also written by Stephen King. King will also be one of the executive producers.
J.J. Abrams and Ben Stephenson from Bad Robot Productions will also be credited with being the executive producers of the TV series that will be filmed at the Warner Bros. Television studios.
The TV series will be focused on Lisey, two years after the death of her husband, when different events make her remember repressed realities. This is the third Apple project produced by J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot Productions after Little Voice and My Glory Was I Had Such Friends.
Lisey’s Story represents also the first TV series in which Julianne Moore will have the leading role. Moore is known for her roles in movies such as The Hours, Laws of Attraction, Children of Men, Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Born on December 3rd, 1960, in the United States, Julianne Moore is an actress and producer. She was nominated five times at the Oscar awards and she received an award for her performance in “Still Alice” in 2014. The other movies that brought her Oscar nominations are Boogie Nights, The End of the Affair, The Hours, and Far from Heaven.
Moore also won two Golden Globes out of 8 nominations and a special trophy, but also an Emmy Award for her role in Game Change where she played Sarah Palin.
