The star of Aquaman, Jason Momoa, said during the Jimmy Fallon Show that after he starred as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones it was very hard for him to find work.
“Many people thought that I can’t speak English. It was difficult. The first person to make me realize this was Fred Armisen. I met him because my step daughter Zoe starred in Portlandia. He wanted to meet me and he told me he didn’t knew I can speak English. It was a shock for me and I realized this is why I couldn’t find work” Jason Momoa said.
Asked how he ended up getting cast as Aquaman, Jason Momoa said that the invitation came from Zack Snyder. “The entire process was crazy. Zack was a big Game of Thrones fan. I wasn’t getting any job offers so he called me and invited me to audition for Batman. The role went to Ben Affleck and I was asking myself why I showed up but then Zack said I will be Aquaman. I didn’t knew anything about the character at the time” Jason Momoa said.
The Aquaman movie will premiere on the big screen in December of this year.
