Jane Fonda talked about some painful experiences from her past. The 79 years old actress confessed she was raped and sexually abused as a child.
In a recent interview, actress Jane Fonda talked about some of the most traumatic experiences of her life.
“I was raped, I was sexually abused as a child and I was fired because I refused to sleep with my boss. I always thought that it’s my fault. I thought that I haven’t done or said the right thing” Jane Fonda said in a recent interview.
Actress Jane Fonda says that her difficult childhood is the reason why she supports women’s rights so much. The actress supports the V-Day movement which militates to stop violence against women. In 2001 she started the Jane Fonda Center for Adolescent Reproductive Health, which helps prevents pregnancy in teens.
“I know girls that were raped and didn’t even knew they were the victims of a rape.” Jane Fonda also says.
Jane Fonda says that she wants to help abuse victims realize that rape doesn’t happen because of their fault. ” They were raped and this is not right” Jane added.
