The first rumors about the Huawei Watch 2 have started to pop their head online a few weeks ago, and now we see official photos of the product, which suggests the release is going to happen very, very soon.

The new Huawei watch packs a new design, which seems to be focused on users who like to do sports and seems to come with a net set of features thanks to the new Android Wear 2.0.

Huawei Watch 2 drops the elegant design of the first model in favor of a construction  made out of metal and plastic. It benefits from a rubber belt, two side buttons, round display and a frame that includes minutes. The Huawei Watch 2 will come in three colors: black, orange and black with some white dots.

In one of the photos we can see a hidden slot for a SIM card which requires you to remove the rubber belt in the bottom area of the watch so you can access it. So this confirms previous rumors that suggested Huawei Watch 2 can be used with its own SIM card, a feature that comes with Android Wear 2.0. However it seems there will also be a cheaper version, without 4G support, and that version can only use Wi-FI network to connect to the Internet. Obviously, this version will be cheaper.

These photos were leaked by evleaks so, most likely, they are official photos.

The official launch of the Huawei Watch 2 is expected to take place during the Mobile World Congress event which takes place in Barcelona at the end of this month.

What’s your take on the new Huawei Watch 2 ?
