The Huawei P30 Pro will arrive in stores only next week but Huawei already released a software update. It is focused on improving the user experience and doesn’t add new features or new elements to the user interface.
The Android 9.0 Pie operating system remains at the initial version along with the EMUI 9.1 interface, the update being more like a “final” version compared to the intermediary version that comes out of the factory.
The download package for the EMUI 0.1.0.124 ( C431E4R2P2 ) update requires 400 MB of space and can be downloaded from the phone using an internet connection. Despite the fact that the opinions about the Huawei P30 Pro have been mostly good, it seems that Huawei believes it can enhance the software on the new flagship even more.
Regarding photos, the images captured in some scenarios will be of better quality thanks to this update, as most likely Huawei has modified the scene detection algorithms using artificial intelligence. Some Instagram videos were rendered out of sync, and this new update will fix this problem.
The new update also comes with improvements for the SwiftKey keyboard, which comes as a default keyboard for the email app, while notifications can now be displayed on the “always-on” screen even by third party apps, not just by apps that are integrated in the Android operating system. Even if nobody complained so far about the fingerprint reader, Huawei says it also improves its performance.
If you’re planning to buy the Huawei P30 Pro as soon as it is available in stores it would be indicated to update right from the first day in order to get the best experience possible.
