Started back in 2016, the campaign to upgrade to Windows 10 for free continued last year, and Microsoft kind of suggested that eventually the company will shutdown the method through which Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users can get an original Windows 10 license key by upgrading from the operating system version purchased in the past.
Well, even if the campaign officially ended a while ago, there is still a method to get Windows 10 for free if you’re using Windows 8.1 on your computer.
The secret is to use a less known method, a method that has been officially created for people with hearing problems. Unofficially, the method is accessible to anyone who goes through the required steps without Microsoft strictly checking every eligible user.
Right now we don’t know precisely how long this option will continue to work considering that Windows 8.1 is no longer fully supported by Microsoft since January 9, 2018.
To upgrade to Windows 10 for free all we have to do is download the Media Creation Tool created by Microsoft to help us easily create a bootable disk or flash drive with the Windows 10 installation kit.
