Expected to make their grand entry at the CES 2018 event, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ can be seen in some images generated based on the sketches released by a known leak master, a man appreciated for making disclosures about Samsung’s still unreleased products.
Although it still has many similarities with the current Galaxy S8 series, the Galaxy S9 is also different. Addressing the flaws of its predecessor, the Galaxy S8 moves the frame of the photo camera and fingerprint sensor in a location that is more accessible. Also for better ergonomics, the pulse sensor is now on the right side.
According to USB-C, the Power, Volume, Bixby keys and external speaker remain in the usual locations. But the good news is that the Galaxy S9 comes with the 3.5 mm audio jack which you can find at the bottom.
Based on the region, the Galaxy S9 will come with the Exynos 9981 chipset built by Samsung or the Snapdragon 845 solution from Qualcomm.
According to the information we have so far, the Galaxy S9 has 147.6 x 68.7 x 8.4mm dimensions and it comes equipped with a 5.65” display.
Based on rumors, the Galaxy S9 will come with 4 GB of RAM memory but we also hear that the 6 GB version might also be available.
The internal storage space starts from 65 GB but there will also be configurations of up to 512 GB as Samsung already has 512 GB NAND Flash modules under development.
The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will come with the Android Oreo operating system, personalized with the interface and bloatware Samsung has gotten us used to.
The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are already in production and the smartphones might be unveiled in January at the CES 2018 event and they will be available in stores by March of next year.
