The Game of Thrones season 7 is highly expected by the fans of the beloved TV show, and we now know when the first episode is going to be aired.

There are so many reasons to love Game of Thrones. One of the most expensive TV series ever has a stellar cast, a spectacular story and a lot of action. Unfortunately, the story is near the end and the season 7 of the Game of Thrones TV show will be the first of the last two. As the story of the show is now further than the story in the novels, the fans are even more interested.

Usually, every new Game of Thrones season premiered at the end of March or at the beginning of April. A few mounts ago the producers announced that the shooting of the seventh season has been delayed because of climate reasons. The producers needed snow and there was no snow to be found in locations where they wanted to shoot. Recently we reported that the Game of Thrones cast is experiencing a hard time shooting on location.

Everything is alright now. It appears that the shooting for the Game of Thrones season 7 has ended and now the episodes are in production. For this reason HBO decided to reveal the date when the first episode of Season 7 will be aired during a Facebook live stream. The event was pretty common although it was longer than expected. The idea of using a melting ice cube to reveal the date of the premiere was not exactly one of the best, in our opinion.

In any case, the first episode of the Game of Thrones season 7 will be aired on HBO on July 16, 2017. The seventh season will only include 7 episodes while the 8th and final season of the TV series will only include 6 episodes.
