Bethesda kept its word and dedicated most QuakeCon 2019 presentations to the new DOOM Eternal game. During the opening ceremony of QuakeCon, Bethesda hosted a detailed presentation of the new Battlemode multiplayer on DOOM Eternal in which three players will face each other in an unique way: two will be part of a team of daemons while the third will battle on it own as a DOOM Slayer equipped with the full arsenal of the game.
As the daemons, players will have to face five types of creatures: Revenant, Pain Elemental, Mancubus, Marauder and Archvile, each with its own set of special skills. Individually, they are weaker than the DOOM Slayer however working together they can take him down. Battlemode is developed in-house by id Software and new maps and new daemons for the game will arrive after the game is released.
