Activision has announced Call of Duty: Next, a showcase event set to air on September 15, 2022. The show will be presented by the studio behind Infinity Ward itself and will feature new information about future Call of Duty experiences, including gameplay sequences.
Announced for the Call of Duty: Next event is a full introduction to the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, details about the next-generation Call of Duty: Warzone, and news about the mobile version of Warzone (known by the code Project Aurora).
Details were also announced about the times when the beta tests of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will take place. Accordingly, those who want to can try out the multiplayer component of the game over two weekends, as follows:
PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners who pre-ordered the game will receive codes that will allow them to participate in the beta starting September 16. Starting September 18, PlayStation players without a pre-order will also be able to participate. The first beta phase will end on September 20.
The second beta phase for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will take place on all platforms, but PS4 and PS5 owners will again have an advantage.
Thus, PlayStation players will have unlimited access to this beta during the entire period (September 22-26), regardless of whether they pre-ordered the game or not.
On Xbox and PC, however, only players with pre-orders will receive priority access to the beta starting September 22. The beta will be fully open to all players on Xbox and PC starting September 24 and will end on September 26.
