Boeing has made software changes to the Boeing 737 Max plane in order to prevent future errors like the ones that crashed two Boeing 737 Max planes in the last five months.
Boeing says that the software update will provide pilots more control over the planes. ” We’ll do anything that’s possible to make sure that such accidents won’t happen again” Mike Sinnett, the Vice President of Boeing said.
A Boeing 737 Max plane ( flight Lion Air 610 ) flying from Jakarta to Pangkal Pinang crashed at sea back in October of 2018. The 189 people on board the plane lost their lives. Another Boeing 737 Max plane, operated by Ethiopian Airlines, flying from Addis Abeba ( Ethiopia ) to Nairobi ( Kenya ) crashed in March of 2019, killing all 157 people on board.
According to aviation experts, the pilots most likely had difficulty in disabling an automated system that prevents the plane from dropping.
