ASUS is getting ready to launch a new gaming smartphone, the ASUS ROG Phone 6. The smartphone will be officially announced in an event that will take place on July 5th. The ASUS ROG Phone 6 will be launched along with some new gaming accessories, including some new gaming headsets.
ASUS confirmed that the smartphone will come with an AMOLED display built by Samsung with a refresh rate of 165HZ. Last year’s model, the ASUS ROG Phone 5 and 5S came with a display that provided a refresh rate of 144HZ so this is a major improvement.
The ASUS ROG Phone 6 will be the first gaming smartphone that will come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. More details we don’t know about the new smartphone yet.
Other gaming smartphones that will come with this new SoC are the Xiaomi 12 Ultra which will arrive on the market also in July but also a top of the line model from Motorola which will also include a 200 MP camera sensor.
Gaming smartphones based on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip will also be released by Black Shark and Nubia.
Mobile gaming dominates the gaming industry
Gaming smartphones target an audience that is growing rapidly. In 2022, mobile video games will generate a revenue of $91,4 billion world wide, according to latest marketing statistics and they will have a market share of more than 45%.
On the second place we’re gonna have console games with revenue of approximately $58,6 billion.
