Apple presents iPhone 14 with last year’s processor. iPhone 14 Pro comes without notch and with always-on display.

Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 14 smartphone series, which includes a Plus variant with a 6.7-inch screen and the same processor from last year, the A15. The standard model, the iPhone 14, has a screen diagonal of 6.1 inches.

The phones have a more advanced cooling system, still have a notch and a ceramic coating that protects them from scratches.

The Apple iPhone 14 will be available in five colors. Like the Apple Watch Series 8, the phones feature a traffic accident detection system. The accident detection system can detect four different types of accidents: Rollover, Side Impact, Frontal Impact and Rear Impact.

On the back is a dual camera system that includes a main sensor with a 12 MP sensor and a new Ultrawide sensor. Apple claims that low-light shooting has been improved by 49% on the iPhone 14. In addition, the night mode is twice as fast.

Pricing for the standard model starts at $799. The Plus starts at $899. The devices will hit stores in the middle of this month.

Apple also unveiled the new iPhone 14 Pro (6.1-inch display) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7-inch display) smartphones. They no longer feature the controversial notch that was introduced with the iPhone X in 2017. On the iPhone 14 Pro, the front camera and Face ID system are housed in an area called Dynamic Island, which can display notifications and other information from apps.

The Pro series phones feature Apple’s new A16 six-core processor, which is faster and uses 20% less power compared to the A15.

For the first time on a smartphone from the company, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro features an always-on display that shows information on the phone’s off screen.

The triple camera system on the back now includes a 48MP main sensor and a new Ultrawide sensor. The third sensor is a telephoto sensor.

The front camera also features an autofocus system for the first time on an iPhone.

Prices start at $999 for the iPhone 14 Pro and $1,099 for the Pro Max. The phones will be available in stores starting September 13.
