Apple went out shopping again and bought a company specialized in doing audio recordings search, the technology being revolutionary and in the works for Siri.

Apple recently bought a company that developed a technology capable to make Siri better in day to day use. The company Apple has purchased is named Pop Up Archive and this company developed a technology that allows searches through audio recordings, including podcasts and we think even music.

Pop Up Archive developed a software called AudioSearch, and this app allows you to search through audio recordings based on keywords, and this is something Siri should be able to do in the near future.

According to the description made by Pop Up Archive, the technology transcribes audio recordings and searches through the transcripts based on keywords.

Apple can use this technology to allow Siri to search through audio recordings for information important to users. We might see Apple using this technology for something else other than Siri but this is highly unlikely.
