Apple will host an event on March 25, but the company wants to get rid of less important announcements very fast because the new iPad tablets are already for sale.

We’re referring to the new iPad Air with 10.5 inches display and the new iPad Mini, which come with better hardware than previous generations and with support for the Apple Pencil. They will come in to fill the void in the tablets portfolio of Apple.

The new iPad Air with 10.5 inches display – technical specifications

The new iPad Air is rather a fusion between the old iPad Pro and iPad Air 2. It packs a thinner case with a smaller frame than that of the iPad 7 cu 9.7 inches display, but it offers a better hardware platform, with a better display that now also has support for Apple Pencil. The Apple A12 Bionic chipset is to be found inside the hood of the new iPad Air, the same one that was also integrated in the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.

The differences between the new iPad Air and iPad 7 are quite obvious: for $200 extra you get a bigger display with improved resolution ( 2.224 x 1668 pixels ) calibrated for the DCI P3 color standard with 500 nits luminosity and compatibility with the True Tone technology. We also get a more powerful chipset, support for Smart Keyboard through a smart connector and extended storage options. The new iPad Air internal storage starts from 64 GB and goes up to 258 GB. Just like every iPad, there is the option to pick a 4G model as the tablet is compatible with nano-SIM but also with the eSIM cards.
